Mike Mignola (l’autore di Hell Boy) si è congratulato con questa artista dicendo semplicemente che i suoi lavori lo portavano alla pazzia da quanto erano belli. Questa bravissima artista Americana ha lavorato per numerosi progetti ed editori, fra questi come illustratrice di alcune delle più belle carte di Magic The Gathering. Il suo stile classico spazia dall’arte asiatica a quella rinascimentale, con uno stile che prende molto da artisti di vario tipo e natura (Klimt fra questi). La composizione delle sue opere, i suoi soggetti, la delicatezza di linee e colori compongono uno stile pittorico eccellente e difficilmente imitabile. Mike Mignola (the author of Hell Boy) has stated once that the artworks of this artist are that much magical and gorgeous to drive him crazy. This talented American Painter has worked for numerous projects and editors, creating some of the most beautiful artworks for some of the cards of Magic The Gathering. Her Technique mix together different themes, from the Asian to the Renaissance aesthetic, creating an artistic style that remember a lot Klimt for its originality. the composition of her works, her subjects, the smoothness of the colors and lines create a particular synergy that produce a strong artistic personality in her artworks. Art-Pills: Gustav Klimt (Ita/Eng)

Una delle prime avanguardie del Simbolismo e dell’Art Nouveau, fra i maggiori protagonisti di quel gruppo di artisti che diede vita alla “Secessione Viennese”. L’utilizzo delle sue famose tinte dorate e la scelta di ritrarre soggetti dal grande potenziale erotico hanno caratterizzato i suoi lavori più famosi. Il periodo aureo (1903) fu sicuramente il momento dove espresse un’arte raffinata e innovativa, per poi maturare e crescere ulteriormente negli anni seguenti dopo essere rimasto colpito dall’impressionismo di artisti come Monet. Sicuramente è stato uno degli artisti che ha influenzato gusti ed estetica di molti che lo seguirono, fra i quali probabilmente anche il fumettista Milo Manara.

The use of his famous golden colors and his strongly erotic portrait are the typical marks of his craft. The golden phase (1903) was surely the most strong period of his artistic life, where he was able to express an innovative and fine technique. He was able to grow further after being influenced by the Impressionism  of artists like Monet.  Surely he was able to influence a multitude of artists, and probably ones among them Milo Manara.
